| Early in the new millennium we had lots of inquiries about Windstone Editions dragons in an unusual red color. This is what we were told by the manufacturer at the time: | ||
| "Red dragons have never left our
factory - the ones that [another store had] were originally white
dragons that someone re-painted red & were found at an estate sale
in Florida. They were not painted red by anyone here - my guess is
that someone was so desperate for a set of red that they painted up
some themselves - we've heard of this happening with some of our other
items in the past."

| Then, of course, late in 2003, Windstone Editions came out with the Ruby coloration, and in 2007 they introduced the Red Fire series, so now there have been genuine "red" dragons from Windstone Editions. | ||
