The hot new game genre of the decade, collectible card games
combine the interest of collecting and trading cards with card
play in just about any style you can imagine, from science
fictional universes (Star Wars, Battletech, Star Trek) through
Fantasy (Middle Earth, Magic, Arcadia), and Horror (Mythos, Rage, Vampire)
right out into the real world (Sim City, Illuminati... well,
maybe...) and everything in between (X-Files, Animayhem, Legend
of the Five Rings and more). The following links will bring you
to cool websites from the publishers of these games.

- Chaosium
- Mythos, the card game based on H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu
Mythos, and a very cool game if you like to drive people
c.r.a.z.y!
- I.C.E.
- Iron Crown Enterprises has an excellent card game based on J.R.R.
Tolkein's classics, The Hobbit, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The basic
set is called, "Middle Earth: The Wizards."
- InterActive Imagination
- Brings us the MagiNation collectible card game, an well-designed,
beautifully illustrated game that's the perfect "step up" from
Pokemon. It is played and enjoyed by all members of my family (ages 7 to
47).
- Steve Jackson
Games
- Home of the marvelously wry Illuminati: New World Order
(INWO) and its expansions, including the SubGenius set.
Not a lot of people are playing this game in our neck of
the woods, but it is one very funny game. Collect the
cards just for the hip humor. These people rank on
everyone and take no hostages.
- Wizards
of the Coast
- Home of Magic,
The Gathering, which is the original collectible card game. These
are the inventors of the whole field, and their site covers many other games
they publish.
